Hi — I’m Leela: lighting designer, yoga teacher and co‑founder of The Yoga Sloth.

teach yoga for people who want to feel at ease in their bodies and minds. Like many teachers, I first came to yoga to heal my body and quiet my mind. As a freelancing creative with years on the road in live events — and as a parent of a disabled child — I know what “stressed” really means. After years on and off the road I know the aches, the bad sleep and the state of mind that frantic show days can bring.

With over 20 years of personal practice and six years of teaching experience, I’ve developed a deep love and practical understanding of the practice and its benefits. My classes are built for life: if it’s busy, messy, loving or chaotic, there’s room for humour, honesty and real tools that work.

Styles & tone

I teach across a spectrum: dynamic, strength‑building movement, neuro‑informed mobility drills, yin practices and breathwork, always with a focus on practicing presence, awareness and self‑compassion. Expect clear cues, storytelling and sequencing you can actually use off the mat.

Offerings

- Neuro‑informed sessions: movement and mobility rooted in nervous‑system awareness to improve resilience, reduce pain and aid recovery.
- 4 Beat sequencing: rhythm‑based classes linking breath, timing and movement to build steady pacing and reliable technique.
- Yin: slow, restorative sessions focused on release, connective tissue and nervous‑system regulation.
- Vinyasa & strength flows: energising, alignment‑focused classes to build strength, stamina and spatial awareness.

Sessions range from sweaty strength flows to slow restorative classes and quick “Backstage Reset” sequences. I mix yogic traditions, accessible science and a little German humour — always delivered with patience and if preferred practical hands‑on adjustments.

Who it’s for

I offer yoga for all bodies and abilities. I have specialised experience with people who spend long hours on their feet, hunched over consoles or instruments, or travelling for work — and who want practices that actually fit irregular schedules. Private 1:1s are tailored to your body and life; small groups and workplace workshops get entire crews moving and feeling better fast.

Services & practical info

  • Private sessions (60 minutes): posture, mobility and breath coaching — in London, at The Yoga Sloth, on tour or online.

  • Small groups: 4–6 people — ideal for crews, friends or studio pop‑ups.

  • Large groups

  • Backstage Reset workshops: short, focused routines you can use between load‑in and showtime.

Intro offer & availability

First private session £50 (normally £90). I keep a limited, protected schedule — typical availability: Monday, Wednesday, Friday mornings + 1–2 evenings a week. Email or DM to enquire and I’ll reply with available slots and a short pre‑session checklist.

A little about my training I trained in power vinyasa and continue to specialise in breath, adjustments and neuro‑informed practice so my teaching stays practical and safe for gig life.
