Hi — I’m Leela: lighting designer, yoga teacher and co‑founder of The Yoga Sloth.

I teach practical, evidence‑informed yoga for people who want to feel at ease in their bodies, with a special focus on those who work in live events — lighting designers, sound engineers, stage techs, musicians and touring crews. After years on and off the road I know the aches, the bad sleep and the frantic show days — so I’ve built a gentle, effective practice that fits that life.

What I teach My classes blend dynamic asana to build strength and space, neuro‑centric mobility drills and breathwork so you leave feeling more resilient in body and calmer in mind.

I also teach 4 Beat sequencing — a rhythm‑based approach that links breath, timing and movement to create steady pacing, reliable technique and an easy doorway into flow state. Expect practical tools for:

  • easing back, neck and shoulder pain
  • improving posture and movement for long shifts and load‑ins
  • calming the nervous system for better sleep and performance
  • simple breath techniques you can use between calls or backstage

Styles & tone

Sessions range from sweaty strength flows to slow restorative classes and quick “Backstage Reset” sequences. I mix yogic traditions, accessible science and a little German humour — always delivered with patience and practical hands‑on adjustments.

Who it’s for This is for people who spend long hours on their feet, hunched over consoles or instruments, or travelling for work — and who want practices that actually fit irregular schedules. Private 1:1s are tailored to your body and gig life; small groups and workplace workshops get entire crews moving and feeling better fast.

Services & practical info

  • Private sessions (60 minutes): posture, mobility and breath coaching — in London, at The Yoga Sloth, on tour or online.
  • Small groups: 4–6 people — ideal for crews, friends or studio pop‑ups.
  • Backstage Reset workshops: short, focused routines you can use between load‑in and showtime.

Intro offer & availability

First private session £45 (normally £80). I keep a limited, protected schedule — typical availability: Monday, Wednesday, Friday mornings + 1–2 evenings a week. Email or DM to enquire and I’ll reply with available slots and a short pre‑session checklist.

A little about my training I trained in power vinyasa and continue to specialise in breath, adjustments and neuro‑informed practice so my teaching stays practical and safe for gig life.
